An Elegant Pink & Green Garden Wedding at Tayvin Gardens | Morgan & Chris

Some love stories begin with a swipe or a chance meeting. Morgan and Chris’s began in the hallways of high school.


The two started dating during their sophomore year of high school, building a relationship that would eventually stand the test of distance, time, and seasons of life. When Morgan moved to Miami, Florida for college while Chris remained in Nashville, their relationship became long distance. Through countless phone calls, weekend visits, and unwavering commitment, they continued choosing one another until the day they finally said “I do.”


Their wedding took place at the breathtaking Tayvin Gardens in Smiths Grove, Kentucky, a hidden gem about an hour and a half outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Surrounded by lush gardens, European-inspired architecture, and charming Tuscan details, the venue created the perfect backdrop for an elegant summer celebration.


A Summer Color Palette Inspired by the Gardens


Morgan and Chris embraced the beauty of the season with a timeless palette of soft pinks and fresh greens. Every floral arrangement and thoughtful detail blended effortlessly with Tayvin Gardens’ natural beauty, making it feel as though the venue itself had inspired their wedding design.


From the romantic bouquets to the reception décor, every space felt fresh, refined, and perfectly suited for a summer garden wedding.


When the Rain Became Part of the Story


As every couple hopes for beautiful weather on their wedding day, sometimes the most unforgettable moments happen when things don’t go exactly as planned.


Rain came and went throughout the day, adding an unexpected element to an already beautiful celebration. Morgan and Chris had planned to say “I do” outdoors, rain or shine, embracing whatever the day would bring.


Then, at 4:59 p.m., the rain stopped—just one minute before their ceremony was set to begin.


As guests took their seats and Morgan made her way down the aisle, the gardens seemed to come alive. The fresh summer air, vibrant greenery, and soft overcast skies created an incredibly romantic setting for them to exchange vows.


They were able to celebrate every moment of their outdoor ceremony without a single raindrop falling. Then, just minutes after they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, the rain gently returned.


It felt like such a beautiful reminder that even when life doesn’t unfold exactly as we expect, God’s timing is always perfect. Of all the moments for the skies to clear, they cleared at exactly the right one.


Ending the Night in Worship


One of the most meaningful moments of the entire day happened after the celebration had nearly come to an end.


Before saying goodbye to their guests, Morgan and Chris shared a private last dance together. With the reception space emptied, they quietly danced to Firm Foundation by Cody Carnes—a peaceful moment to pause, worship God, and soak in the reality that they were finally husband and wife.


It was intimate, emotional, and one of those moments that reminds me why I love documenting weddings.


As they stepped outside, their family and friends lined the walkway with sparklers while fireworks lit up the night sky. Their joyful send-off was the perfect ending to a day filled with love, faith, and unforgettable memories.


A Wedding to Remember


Morgan and Chris’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations aren’t defined by perfect weather—they’re defined by the people you share them with and the moments that unfold along the way.


From a high school romance that survived long distance, to a rain-kissed ceremony at one of Kentucky’s most beautiful venues, to ending the night worshiping together before a spectacular sparkler and fireworks exit, every part of their wedding reflected their love for one another and the foundation of faith they are building together.


Morgan and Chris, thank you for trusting me to document such an incredible day. It was an honor to witness the beginning of this new chapter, and I pray your marriage continues to reflect the same joy, grace, and steadfast love that surrounded your wedding day.
